1 Introduction & Core Philosophy
BounceTrace: Ricochet Puzzle ("the App") is developed and published by Tech2U Savannah ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is a solver-certified bank-shot puzzle game where player ricochet solutions resolve into collectible vector line art.
Privacy by Architecture: We do not require account registration, login credentials, or access to sensitive personal data. Your game progression, puzzle scores, and Tracebook vectors stay strictly on your local handset. Advertising services are provided via privacy-compliant, certified Google SDKs.
2 Information Handled Locally
All core gameplay data is created and stored strictly within the private application sandbox on your device (using encrypted Android Room / SQLite storage and SharedPreferences):
- Tracebook Records: When you clear a puzzle board, the polyline vector route and milestone metrics (board ID, par, arrows used, timestamp) are stored locally in your private Tracebook so you can inspect and replay your solutions.
- Settings & Preferences: Your selected visual and haptic preferences (Aim Assist, Left-Handed alignment, High Contrast, Reduced Motion, Sound) are stored locally.
This information is never transmitted to our servers and cannot be accessed by other applications.
3 Advertising & Third-Party SDKs (Google AdMob)
BounceTrace is supported by advertising to keep the puzzle experience free for all players. We display advertisements using Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC / Alphabet Inc.):
- Banner Advertisements: Adaptive banner ads displayed in secondary screens (Tracebook, Settings) safely separated from the active playfield.
- Interstitial Advertisements: Full-screen advertisements displayed periodically when advancing puzzle boards (governed by a strict cooldown guard to prevent user interruption).
To serve ads and ensure network security, Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain device information:
- Device Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) or ID for Advertising, which can be reset or deleted in your Android device settings.
- Technical Data: IP address (used for coarse geographic ad localization and fraud prevention), device model, operating system version, carrier, and screen dimensions.
- Ad Interaction Data: Ad impressions, clicks, and diagnostic performance metrics to prevent invalid traffic.

4 Consent Management & Revocation (Google UMP)
To guarantee compliance with European Union GDPR, UK GDPR, and Swiss data protection regulations, BounceTrace integrates the official Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK:
- Consent Gathering: Users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are presented with a standardized consent form upon initial launch to choose whether to allow personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or vendor partners.
- On-Demand Consent Revocation: You have the right to modify or withdraw your consent at any time. Inside the App, navigate to Settings → "Ad Privacy & Consent Choices" to reopen the Google Privacy Options form and update your preferences immediately.
- Device-Level Opt-Out: On Android devices, you can opt out of interest-based ads or reset your Advertising ID at any time by going to
Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising IDorDelete advertising ID.
5 Device Permissions
BounceTrace requests only the minimum technical permissions necessary to operate ad services:
android.permission.INTERNET: Required by Google AdMob to fetch banner and interstitial ad creatives and consent dialogs.android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used by the AdMob SDK to determine whether an active network connection is present.
The App does NOT request location permissions, camera access, microphone access, contacts, storage permissions, or phone state access.
6 Children’s Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
BounceTrace is a geometric puzzle game designed for general audiences. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and GDPR-K in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable EU jurisdictions). The ad SDK is initialized with underage tags in accordance with applicable Google Play Families policies.
7 Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, Swiss DPA)
We respect your privacy rights under global privacy laws:
- Right to Know & Access: All gameplay progress and traces are visible directly within the App's Tracebook. Ad data collected by Google is managed via Google Account settings.
- Right to Deletion: You can wipe all local progress and traces by uninstalling the App or tapping "Clear Data" in Android system settings.
- CCPA/CPRA (California Residents): You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising via device advertising settings or the in-app consent preferences form.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control: We support platform-level opt-out signals honored by Google Mobile Ads.
8 Data Retention & Deletion
We do not operate remote databases storing player profiles or account records. Your puzzle completion records and vector art remain on your handset until you choose to delete them or uninstall the App. Ad diagnostic data collected by Google is retained according to Google's standard data retention policies.
