1 Overview & 100% Offline-First Architecture
ExposureGuard is developed and operated by Tech2U Savannah as an offline-first financial calculator and portfolio risk-checking utility for forex traders. Our core architectural doctrine is absolute data sovereignty: your open positions, account equity, margin utilization, custom rules, and risk snapshots remain strictly on your device.
Core Privacy Guarantee: ExposureGuard operates without cloud user accounts, does not require login, and never transmits your trading positions, account balances, or risk calculations to any remote server.
2 Financial Non-Intermediation & No-Signals Disclaimer
ExposureGuard is strictly an analytical calculation tool and mechanical risk check:
- No Investment Advice: ExposureGuard shows facts about your entered positions. It does not predict prices, does not recommend trades, and is not financial advice.
- No Trading Signals: The application does not generate buy/sell signals, directional forecasts, price targets, or execution recommendations.
- No Brokerage Services: ExposureGuard does not capture broker account passwords, API tokens, or execute trades.
- Mechanical Fact Presentation: All exposure metrics, correlation alignments, and margin cushion calculations represent mathematical representations of user-provided or imported data.
3 Information We Do Not Collect
We believe in strict data minimization. ExposureGuard does not collect, log, or broadcast:
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your legal name, physical address, email address, or phone number.
- Broker account credentials, server passwords, investor keys, or API secrets.
- Trading journal data, order tickets, lot sizes, trade direction, or historical P/L statements.
- Device identifiers tied to personal trading habits.
4 Local Data Storage & File Import/Export
All application state is stored locally within the app's sandboxed private storage on your Android device:
- Local Database: Position books, account parameters (equity, used margin, leverage), custom risk rules, and snapshots are stored locally via SQLite / Drift.
- MT4 / MT5 Statement Import: When importing open-position CSV files, parsing is performed 100% locally in-memory on the device. No file content is ever uploaded.
- Data Portability: Users may export position books or snapshot history at any time using Android's native Share Sheet.
5 Device Permissions & Technical Purpose
ExposureGuard requests only the bare minimum Android OS permissions required for operation:
6 Monetization & Google UMP Consent Framework
ExposureGuard is monetized through ethical, non-intrusive mobile advertising provided by Google AdMob:
- Regulatory Compliance: We integrate the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to comply with European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, Swiss DPA, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
- Prior Consent Gate: No personalized advertising requests are initiated until user consent has been queried and resolved.
- On-Demand Consent Revocation: In full compliance with Google Play and EU guidelines, users may review, modify, or revoke their advertising consent choices at any time inside the app by navigating to Settings → Privacy & Consent Preferences.
- Commercial Safety Gate: Ads are never rendered during critical margin stress or active rule breaches.
7 Third-Party Software Development Kits (SDKs)
The application interacts with verified third-party services for advertising and consent delivery:
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) & User Messaging Platform (UMP)
Used for delivering banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad units and managing user consent dialogs.
- Privacy Policy: Google Privacy Policy
- Advertising Technologies: How Google Uses Data
8 Data Retention & Deletion Rights
Because all trading positions, account numbers, rules, and snapshots reside strictly in your device's sandboxed local storage, you have complete control over your data:
- Clearing the application cache or app storage via Android Settings permanently deletes all local records.
- Uninstalling ExposureGuard removes all locally saved databases and snapshots permanently.
9 Children's Privacy Protection
ExposureGuard is designed exclusively for adult financial operators and retail traders aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit data from children under the age of 18.
10 Regulatory Rights (GDPR / CCPA / Swiss DPA)
Under international data protection regulations, users have fundamental privacy rights:
- Right to Know & Access: Since we store zero personal data on external servers, all your data is instantly accessible directly inside the app.
- Right to Opt-Out: Users can opt out of personalized tracking at any time through the in-app Privacy & Consent Preferences menu.
- Right to Erasure: Deleting positions or clearing app data instantly erases all stored information.
