1 Introduction & Core Philosophy
Welcome to Neon Surge: Color Shift Run (“we”, “our”, or “the App”), developed by Tech2U Savannah. We believe games should be fast, exciting, and respectful of your privacy. Neon Surge is architected as an offline-first, client-rendered arcade runner that requires no account creation, no social logins, and no personal telemetry tracking.
Core Guarantee: All procedural tunnel generation, particle systems, collision checks, score calculations, and audio rendering execute 100% locally on your device hardware. We do not operate external gameplay servers, nor do we collect or harvest your personal identity.
2 Information Handled Locally (Data Minimization)
Neon Surge stores minimal gameplay state strictly inside your device’s sandboxed local storage (Android SharedPreferences):
- High Score & Stats: Personal best score, total golden orbs collected, and lifetime runs.
- Audio & Haptic Toggles: On/off flags for synthesizer audio feedback and device vibration effects.
This information never leaves your device and is never shared with us or any external third party. If you uninstall the app or clear app data via Android Settings, this local information is permanently deleted.
3 Android Permissions & Hardware Usage
Neon Surge requests only the minimum system permissions required to operate:
4 Third-Party Advertising & Google UMP Consent
Neon Surge is 100% free to play. To support ongoing game development and maintenance, the game displays non-intrusive advertisements through Google AdMob.
Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform (UMP)
AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID), IP addresses, and coarse diagnostics to serve and measure advertisements.
In accordance with global privacy regulations (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and Swiss DPA), we integrate the certified Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. Before any advertisement is requested or loaded, players in applicable jurisdictions are presented with a consent dialogue allowing them to choose whether to consent to personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or vendor tracking.
5 Consent Revocation & User Privacy Choices
You maintain complete control over your privacy choices at all times:
- In-App Consent Management: You can review, update, or revoke your advertising and cookie consent choices at any time by navigating to Settings → Privacy Preferences inside the app. This immediately presents the Google UMP consent form to adjust your settings.
- Android System Ad Controls: You can reset or delete your device Advertising ID at any time via
Settings → Google → Ads → Reset/Delete Advertising IDon your Android device. - Offline Gameplay: Neon Surge is completely playable offline. When offline, no ad requests are transmitted.
6 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Neon Surge is a reflex arcade game intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will take prompt steps to address the inquiry.
7 Global Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA)
We actively uphold compliance standards across international privacy frameworks:
- European Union (GDPR) & United Kingdom (UK GDPR): Data processing for advertising relies strictly on your explicit consent queried via Google UMP. You hold the right to withdraw consent, request information, or lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- California (CCPA/CPRA) & US State Laws: We do not sell personal information. AdMob facilitates ad measurement in compliance with applicable state opt-out standards.
