1 Introduction & Core Philosophy
Welcome to Nova Ricochet (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) developed by Tech2U. We design applications with an absolute commitment to client-side execution, offline autonomy, and data privacy. Nova Ricochet operates without user accounts, logins, telemetry tracking, or backend servers.
Core Guarantee: All procedural field generation, physics collision loops, audio synthesis, and visual rendering execute 100% locally on your device. We do not transmit or store your personal data on any server.
2 Information Handled Locally (Data Minimization)
The App saves your gameplay progress strictly on your local device using Android SharedPreferences:
- High score, best trick-shot combo chain, and shattered prisms count.
- Earned Shards soft currency and unlocked cosmetics (spark trails, prism themes).
- Daily Nova challenge scores and completion streaks.
- Sound effects and haptic vibration preferences.
- First-session interactive tutorial completion status.
This data remains in sandboxed local storage and is never uploaded or linked to any personally identifiable information (PII).
3 Android Permissions & Hardware Usage
Nova Ricochet requests only the essential runtime permissions:
4 Third-Party Advertising & Google UMP Consent
Nova Ricochet is supported by optional, non-intrusive advertising provided through Google AdMob and certified CMPs under the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK.
In accordance with GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss DPA, and US state privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA), user consent is gathered prior to Mobile Ads SDK initialization. If consent is withheld, only non-personalized or no ads are requested.
Google AdMob & UMP Privacy Disclosures
Google may process diagnostic signals, device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), and network IP data strictly for ad fraud prevention, capping, and attribution.
5 Consent Revocation & Opt-Out Rights
Players maintain complete on-demand control over consent preferences:
- In-App Consent Preferences: You can open Settings > Consent Preferences / Privacy Options inside Nova Ricochet at any time to review, modify, or withdraw consent via the Google UMP form.
- Android Advertising Settings: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID via Android Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID.
- 100% Offline Mode: Nova Ricochet is fully playable offline in Airplane Mode with zero network or ad requests.
6 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Nova Ricochet is designed for all audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). Our ad requests are tagged with child-directed flags in compliance with COPPA where applicable.
7 Global Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA)
We strictly comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and international privacy frameworks. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to any third parties.
