1 Overview & 100% On-Device Architecture
OriginCheck ("we", "our", or "the App") is developed by Tech2U Savannah as an offline-capable, privacy-preserving linguistic text evaluation and AI pattern analysis tool. We strongly believe that your writing, essays, documents, and scanned passages are confidential and belong strictly to you.
Zero Cloud Text Ingestion: OriginCheck performs all linguistic calculations, Moving-Average Type-Token Ratio (MATTR), sentence burstiness (CV), n-gram repetition scoring, and heuristic perplexity metrics directly on your physical device. No scanned text is ever transmitted to remote servers, external APIs, or AI model providers.
2 Information We Do Not Collect
Because the application evaluates text locally without requiring account creation or backend synchronization, we do not collect, sell, rent, or trade:
- Your scanned or typed text passages, essays, or documents.
- Your name, email address, physical address, or phone number.
- Your biometric data, contacts, or calendar entries.
- Your precise GPS coordinates or location history.
- User-created comparison drafts or notes.
3 Local Data Storage & SQLite Database
When you perform a scan or read an educational lesson, metadata such as scan scores, date timestamps, snippet previews, and topic progress are saved locally inside an on-device SQLite database within the application's private sandboxed directory. This data is never accessible to other apps on your device or uploaded to external cloud storage.

5 Advertising & Google UMP Consent Framework
OriginCheck uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to support development. We strictly enforce international privacy regulations including the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss DPA, and US CCPA/CPRA:
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
Before any advertisements are initialized or served, OriginCheck displays a certified Google CMP consent notice to users in covered jurisdictions. Users have full autonomy to consent, refuse, or customize ad preferences.
Consent Revocation: You can review or modify your consent choices at any time directly inside OriginCheck by opening Settings → Privacy & Consent → Consent Preferences.
6 Data Retention, Portability & Deletion
You maintain full control over your saved scan history:
- Delete Individual Scans: Swipe or tap delete on any scan in the History tab to permanently remove it from the local database.
- Clear All Local Data: Tap "Clear All Local Data" inside the in-app Settings screen to immediately wipe all local SQLite records and cached metrics.
- App Uninstallation: Uninstalling OriginCheck instantly purges the local database and all associated application storage.
7 Children's Privacy
OriginCheck does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The application is a safe educational and text analysis tool appropriate for general audiences.
