1 Introduction & Offline-First Privacy Architecture
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application PipsHaven: Forex Beginners Course (the "Application"), developed and maintained by Tech2U Savannah ("we," "our," or "us").
Zero Account Requirement: PipsHaven operates on an offline-first architecture. All 12 educational modules (What is Forex, Terminology, Market Mechanics, Order Types, Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, Candlesticks, Chart Patterns, Indicators, Risk Management, Trading Psychology, Trading Plan) are bundled locally in the application package. You can study complete trading texts, examine chart figures, and take diagnostic quizzes without an internet connection or user account.
2 Information We Do Not Collect
We believe in strict data minimization. The Application does NOT collect, transmit, sell, or rent any personally identifiable information (PII):
- No Account Credentials: No sign-up, email, phone number, or social media login required.
- No Brokerage or Financial Data: We never ask for, access, or connect to brokerage accounts, MT4/MT5 logins, wallet keys, or payment details.
- No Location Data: We do not request or track GPS coordinates or precise geolocation.
- No Media or File Access: The Application cannot access your camera, microphone, photo library, or personal files.
3 Local Data Storage & Progress Tracking
The Application saves learning progression locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences:
- Module completion checkmarks (Completed, In Progress, Not Started).
- Diagnostic quiz scores (72 curated validation questions across 12 modules).
- Smart bookmarks and last-read offsets for instant learning resumption.
- Theme selection (System, Dark, Light) and font scale preferences.
- 08:30 AM daily discipline reminder toggle state.
All stored preferences remain strictly on your physical device. You can erase all saved records instantly via Readiness → Reset Progress or by clearing application storage in Android Settings.
4 Device Permissions & Technical Justifications
Used strictly to query user consent choices via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) and load ad units from Google AdMob.
Used strictly to deliver your opt-in daily 08:30 AM trading discipline reminder and motivational strategy focus quotes. Can be toggled ON or OFF at any time in Settings.
Ensures that your scheduled daily 08:30 AM reminder accurately re-registers after a device restart.
5 Advertising & Google UMP Consent Framework
PipsHaven is 100% free with zero paywalls. Monetization is handled through Google AdMob banners and cooldown-gated interstitial ads:
- Certified CMP Integration: We implement Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to comply with GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss DPA, and US state privacy laws.
- Consent Gate: No personalized advertising is initialized or displayed until consent choices are gathered.
- On-Demand Revocation: In full compliance with GDPR Article 7(3), you can revoke or update your consent preferences at any time via Settings → Privacy & Consent Preferences.
- Ad-Free Study Zones: In-flight study sessions and active quiz questions are strictly 100% ad-free.
6 Financial & Trading Risk Disclaimer
All contents, chart illustrations, and diagnostic quizzes inside PipsHaven are strictly for educational and informational purposes. Nothing within the Application constitutes financial, investment, legal, or professional trading advice. Foreign exchange and CFD trading involve substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for all investors.
7 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
PipsHaven is intended for general audiences aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK).
8 Global Privacy Rights
Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA, you hold fundamental rights regarding your data. Because PipsHaven collects zero personal data on external servers, exercising your right to deletion is as simple as resetting your local progress in Settings or uninstalling the app.
