1 Introduction & Core Philosophy
Welcome to RicoChain: Ricochet Puzzle (“we”, “our”, or “the App”). We believe in zero surveillance, client-side execution, and total player privacy. RicoChain is designed from the ground up to function 100% offline without creating accounts, collecting personal identities, tracking locations, or operating external servers.
Core Guarantee: All visual rendering, audio synthesis, and procedural level generation occur dynamically on your device. We do not transmit or store your personal data on any server.
2 Information Handled Locally (Data Minimization)
The App saves your gameplay progress exclusively on your local Android device via standard Android SharedPreferences:
- Campaign world and level star unlocks (up to 216 stars).
- Endless Mode best scores and wave records.
- Daily Chain completion streaks and calendar history.
- Audio and haptic feedback toggles.
- First-time tutorial completion status.
This data is stored solely in private application storage and is never uploaded, synced to an external cloud, or linked to any personally identifiable information (PII).
3 Android Permissions & Hardware Usage
RicoChain requests only the minimum technical permissions necessary:
4 Third-Party Advertising & Google UMP Consent
RicoChain is supported by optional, non-intrusive advertising provided through Google AdMob and certified CMPs under the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK.
In accordance with GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss DPA, and US state privacy laws (such as CCPA/CPRA), user consent is actively queried upon first launch before Mobile Ads are initialized. If consent is not granted, only non-personalized ads or no ads are served.
Google AdMob & UMP Privacy Disclosures
Google may collect diagnostic signals, device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), and coarse IP data for fraud prevention and ad attribution.
5 Consent Revocation & Opt-Out Rights
You have full autonomy over your privacy choices at any time:
- In-App Consent Preferences: You can open Settings > Consent Preferences inside RicoChain at any moment to modify or withdraw your consent choices via the Google UMP form.
- Operating System Advertising Controls: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID via Android Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID.
- Offline Play: You can play RicoChain completely offline in Airplane Mode without any ad requests.
6 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
RicoChain is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable EEA jurisdictions). Our ad requests flag child-directed treatment in compliance with COPPA where required.
7 Global Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA)
We strictly comply with international privacy standards including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the UK Data Protection Act. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
